Unit Details:
Patient population is adult, geriatric.
Common diagnoses/treatments include DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure.
Patient ratios are 1-4 depending on patient status.
Equipment includes ventilators, IABP (the cath lab stays on site), A-lines, and CPAP.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
No call.
Floating Requirements:
Possible floating to Med-Surg if the ICU is closed for the shift.
