Additional Information

Required Skills/Experience: Critical care (ICU, ED, PACU, or equivalent) experience required. Conscious/moderate sedation administration and monitoring required. Interventional Radiology experience required. Strong IV access skills required. Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with vascular access procedures, biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoroscopic procedures preferred. Experience recovering patients after moderate sedation preferred. PICC line and port management experience preferred. Experience assisting with advanced vascular and oncology procedures preferred. Previous experience in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department

Required Credentials: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Moderate Sedation Certification / Competency

Preferred Credentials: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Unit Details: Supports a growing Interventional Radiology program with expanding procedural capabilities. Uses Masimo monitoring systems, power injectors, ultrasound guidance equipment, and patient monitoring and sedation equipment. Adult geriatric patient population. Procedures include CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsies, drain placements and exchanges, paracentesis, thoracentesis, PICC and central venous catheter placement, port placement and removal, venous access procedures, arthrograms, lumbar punctures and myelograms, GI/GU fluoroscopic procedures, pain management injections, embolization procedures, and oncology-related interventional procedures. Opportunity to assist with development of new IR service lines and advanced procedures.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. No weekend hours. On-call approximately 2 weeks per month.
