Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. This unit has in-room continuous cardiac and vital sign monitoring for low acuity ICU-level patients and high-acuity telemetry patients. This unit often has patients with cardiac IV infusions in addition to ICU-level infusions such as Levophed, Cardene, Neosynephrine, and insulin drips. These infusions require frequent titrations and continuous monitoring of vital signs and cardiac function. This unit also cares for patients s/p TNK administration with frequent neurological assessments, patients with high O2 requirements, pericardial drains, temporary pacemakers, EKOS treatment, Femstop management, STEMI post cath, EKOS treatment for DVT, and snakebite s/p antivenom administration. Patient care is RN-driven with PCT support. RNs update the charge nurse on patient conditions and independently consult with the medical management team regarding changes in patient condition.
Shift & Scheduling: Call required: Once every 6 weeks. 6 weekend shifts per 6 week period.
