Required Skills/Experience:
Open heart experience required.
Unit Details:
Assesses the needs of each surgical patient before and during the procedure; develops, implements, evaluates, and documents individualized care plans; and maintains patient safety.
Supervises activity in the operating room, anticipates and coordinates schedule changes, assembles equipment and supplies, assists anesthesia as necessary, monitors the sterile field, and provides leadership to the OR team.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every third weekend.
On-call: 1-2 call nights per week and every third weekend.
Floating Requirements:
When the caseload is low or there are no cases in the CVOR, the RN/Tech will be floated to Midland’s General OR to work. The RN/Tech will also be floated to the General OR to cover turnover, breaks, and opening rooms.
