References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Special Requests:

  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
  • Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
  • Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Unit Details:

  • Uses Meditech.
  • EFM system: OB Trace Vue.
  • Labor ratios: 1:1-2; postpartum ratios: 1:2-3.
  • Patient population includes laboring patients >35 weeks and mom/baby couplets.
  • RNs titrate antepartum/labor drips including magnesium, oxytocin, LR, and Zofran; postpartum medications include prenatal vitamin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, Percocet, and Toradol.
  • Neonatal respiratory support includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.
  • This is a rural hospital; distance from NICU >1 hour away and services are limited.
  • Surgery is in charge of the C section; RNs circulate for the baby.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Every 3rd weekend.
  • Holidays as needed, depending on availability.

Floating Requirements:

  • Floating to MSP/ED for helping hands, mostly sitting 1:1 with patients.
