Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate drips.
Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 years of NICU, Level 3-4 experience preferred. Ability to read own strips helpful, but not required.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. Open to blocked scheduling based on unit need. RTO must be submitted upfront; 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.
Unit Details: Level III NICU. Open-bed concept with a central RN station. Common diagnoses/patient population: RDS, SGA, prematurity, hypoglycemia, bilirubin, 23 weeks and up, intubated and bubble CPAP patients, central lines. No surgical or G-tube placements. NICU RNs attend deliveries under 36 weeks, IUGR, and C-sections to assist with Apgar. Common drips: antibiotics, multivitamin, iron, surfactant, TPN, epinephrine. Equipment: bubble CPAP, vents. Daytime neonatologist with overnight NNP coverage.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. 2 holidays per year.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Will float to Newborn nursery (to take babies) and pediatrics as assigned; otherwise helping hands.
