Required Skills/Experience: Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months. Some ICU or high-acuity PCU/step-down experience required due to the high acuity of this unit. Proficient experience required with titration of vasopressors (Levophed, Nicardipine, etc.), continuous IV sedation/sedation medication, insulin drips, BiPAP, OptiFlow, art lines, cardiac arrhythmias, external pacemakers, chest tubes, and trach-vented patients.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
Special Requests: RTO restrictions: None. No medical marijuana cards accepted. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details: High-acuity adult step-down unit, essentially a step-down from ICU. Respiratory therapy is typically assigned to the unit each shift and is responsible for vents, but the RN must know how to troubleshoot alarms.
Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend. For night shift, it can be Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday, depending on who is already on rotation. No call.
Floating Requirements: Will float within scope to meet facility needs, to floors that are lower acuity.
