Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with trach patients requiring continuous BiPAP/long-term vent support. Experience with titratable drips including dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, cardene, ketamine, heparin, Cardizem, and amiodarone. Experience with CIWA assessments and alcohol/drug withdrawal treatment.
Required Credentials: No temporary licenses accepted.
Unit Details: High-acuity stepdown/progressive care unit. Uses bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, heated humidity high flow O2, BiPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy, kangaroo feeding pumps, gastric tubes, and surgical drains. Emergent cardioversion. Procedures requiring moderate sedation are performed in a procedural area. High-throughput unit accommodating rapid responses, ED admissions, and ICU transfers.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, alternatively 4 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per month. Delayed start is utilized rather than on-call shifts if census is low.
Floating Requirements: May float to cardiac surgery IMC, med-tele, med-surg, and ortho-neuro.
