Unit Details:
The unit uses Intellidose (TxM), and previous experience would be a huge plus.
Chemotherapy infusion nurses administer intravenous chemotherapy drugs and other intravenous therapies and provide pre- and post-treatment patient care.
Responsibilities include assessing patients before IV treatments; accessing ports or peripheral IVs for lab draws and IV therapies; administering chemotherapy and other IV infusions, operating the equipment, monitoring patients during treatment, and administering prescribed intravenous medications and oral pre-treatment medications.
Nurses monitor and respond to side effects or reactions and treat them appropriately per protocols.
Shift & Scheduling:
The schedule is Monday–Thursday, 7:30-5, and Friday, 7am-Noon (usually done before that time).
The unit would like some flexibility with the hours based on patient schedules, if possible.
