Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience in cardiac critical care and CRRT preferred.
Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
No holiday RTO.
Parking costs $125/month.
Unit Details:
The unit is a heart transplant unit with CRRT, VA and VV ECMO, VAD, peritoneal dialysis, and a CAR-T program.
Patients range from ages 0-25. The unit treats critically ill children with cardiac, respiratory, GI, neuro, ortho, ENT, and trauma conditions, including any affected body system.
Shift & Scheduling:
No more than 5 days RTO.
Every other weekend.
No call.
Floating Requirements:
Must float to units within Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, including the Pediatric ED, NNICU, inpatient departments, and Wini 1 (psych), as needed to meet facility needs; take an assignment and care for assigned patients only within your scope of practice.
When floating to care areas outside the PICU, travelers are recommended to connect with the Charge RN for questions or a brief orientation.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
