Required Skills/Experience:
Must be able to perform C-sections.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Orthopedic total joint experience is highly preferred.
Unit Details:
Average case volume is 15-24 cases per day.
Common cases include heavy orthopedics/total joints, GYN/C-sections, urology, spine, ENT, GI, and general surgery; no robotics.
The patient population is primarily adults; pediatric cases are limited to tubes and tonsils, with rare appendectomies in 10-year-olds.
Vascular cases include fem-pop procedures, cutdowns, hybrid cases with the cath lab, stents, and fistulas; CABG is performed in CVOR only, and there are no neuro cases.
Shift & Scheduling:
Schedule options are 0630-1500 or 9-530 (totals), Monday-Friday; the manager makes the schedule.
RN CVOR call is 10-11 shifts per month, including every other weekend.
General RN call response time is 20 mins.
If a holiday falls during the contract, the contract will specify whether the clinician is on call; holiday call is usually assigned.
