Required Credentials:
- Contingent/temp licensure is not accepted.
- MGB Dysrhythmia Exam required; 80% passing score.
Unit Details:
- Cares for patients with critical or life-threatening illness.
- Monitors and interprets rhythms and hemodynamic status.
- Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips.
- Assists with shock and other life-threatening complications.
- Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions.
- Patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Floating Requirements:
- May need to float to other units based on hospital needs. If floated outside skillset, traveler will be helping hands only.
