Required Skills/Experience: 1+year recent PACU experience.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must disclose any previous Marshfield employment in the submission; previous Marshfield clinicians must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission. Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Covers both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery. Nurse:patient ratios: 1:1/2 Phase 1, 1:3/4 Phase 2. Common cases: Ortho, Spine, ENT, General, Vascular, OB/Gyn, Plastics, Uro. Uses BiPAP and oral airways. ICU patients recover in PACU. RNs read strips.
Shift & Scheduling: Start times range from 0900-1000, end times 1830-1930. Based on the needs of the unit, no self-scheduling. Rotating holiday requirements. Weeknight call: minimum 1 night per week 1800-0600. Weekend call: minimum 1 weekend every 6 weeks-Fri 0600-Mon 0600. Call response time: 30 min.
Floating Requirements: May be floated to attached outpatient surgery center for similar care of endoscopy, orthopedic, and pain clinic patients.
