Preferred Skills/Experience:
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Community hospital experience is preferred.
Required Credentials:
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract—no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders as soon as possible after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
Most admissions to the unit come from the ED, ICU, or PACU.
Dedicated, qualified mentors are available for new caregivers.
The unit works closely with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy as part of an interdisciplinary team approach.
Patient population includes TIA/stroke, trauma, epilepsy, neurosurgical patients including ACDF, TLIF, XLIF, and craniotomy cases, and subdural hematoma; epilepsy monitoring includes continuous EEG.
Patients have varied neurosurgical etiologies and neurologic pathologies.
Cardiac telemetry drips include Cardene and heparin, with capability to administer additional drips.
Patient ratios are 1:4 on days and nights and 1:5 on weekends.
Shift & Scheduling:
No call.
Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
Floating Requirements:
The position will float between units.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
