References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years of MS, PCU, ICU experience. Must have experience in setting within the last 1 year.
  • Must have drip experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Home trach/vent experience highly preferred. Willing to train on vents, but RN must be open to learning.

Special Requests:

  • Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well.
  • Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
  • If previously employed by Marshfield, must have an end date at least 6 months before submission.
  • Cannot guarantee the same shifts for travel duos.
  • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Unit Details:

  • Neuro/trauma focus: strokes, seizures, Guillain-Barré, myasthenia gravis, spinal injuries, thrombectomies, TNK/TPA 24 hours post, endovascular, altered mental status, dementia, hematomas/bleeds, falls on thinners, and farm/MVA accidents.
  • Titrates Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, 3%, and Insulin drips.
  • Uses vents, trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, and EtCO2.
  • Central telemetry monitor is located in a different area.
  • Nurse: patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Noc 1:5-6, dependent on acuity.
  • Charge nurse on nights takes a full assignment; days take a smaller assignment.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Self-scheduling opens 6 weeks in advance and is balanced by the manager.
  • Every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • Typically 2/3 holidays for winter, otherwise every other holiday.
  • No call.
  • Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements:

  • Floats to sister med-surg units across 6 specialties, including mixed care, cardiac, general, MS ortho, and heme/onc, to take more general patients.
