Unit Details: Supports patient care across all surgical specialties. Must be able to circulate and scrub as necessary. Circulator duties during the pre-, intra-, and post-op phases include coordinating room activities, assembling equipment, delegating activities to team members, implementing the nursing process and care plan, serving as the patient advocate, assuring a safe environment, completing documentation accurately, completing sponge, needle, and instrument counts, and informing PACU of special needs. Scrub duties include assembling supplies and instruments pertinent to the procedure, setting up sterile supplies according to standards and department protocol, maintaining accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments, anticipating surgeon needs to reduce procedure time, and ensuring all team members follow aseptic technique.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. On-call one weekend per month. Holiday coverage.
