Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
Titration of vesicant medications is required.
Familiarity with pressors is required.
Sedation skills are required.
Paralytic medication experience is required.
Ventilator experience is required.
Tracheostomy experience is required.
Telemetry interpretation is required.
Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Transvenous pacing experience is preferred.
Cardioversion experience is preferred.
TEE experience is preferred.
Familiarity with chest tube insertion and maintenance is preferred.
IABP, Impella, and CRRT skills are preferred.

Unit Details:
Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity.
Equipment includes ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment.
Procedures performed on the unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis.

Shift & Scheduling:
Alternating weekends.
