Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S).
Types of Patients on Unit: Patient population includes, Females of childbearing years, pregnant 17 weeks gestation, laboring, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage (we try not to do these on the unit)), and Triage issues
Equipment Used on Unit: Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes Fetal Monitors
Technology Used on Unit: Cerner and Fetalink documentation.
