Required Skills/Experience:
Previous hospital aide or LPN experience is required.
Must obtain radiation badge prior to start, not provided by facility. OR RNs must also obtain fetal badge if needed.
Special Requests:
We cannot consider travelers employed (FT, PT, or Per Diem) by Cayuga Health or its affiliate, Schuyler Hospital within the past 12 months.
Unit Details:
Provides services in both the outpatient endoscopy center and the main hospital endoscopy unit.
Coordinates preadmission nursing assessments, testing, care, and inpatient and outpatient procedures with physicians and other groups, including post-procedure care and assessment.
Participates in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Provides physicians with appropriate equipment and supplies for each procedure.
May function as a designated charge nurse.
May supervise LPNs, endoscopy technicians, hospital aides, and unit patient access representatives.
Shift & Scheduling:
On-call required.
