Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Active RN experience in ICU/MICU required.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities.
Unit Details: Adult patient population with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, liver failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and renal failure. Common skills and responsibilities include ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV sedation, neuromuscular blockade, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, blood product administration, CRRT, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKGs, hypothermia protocol, stroke and neuro care, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABGs, wound vacs, isolation precautions, and infection prevention. Uses continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients. Equipment used includes NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors, GE ventilators, and patient room lifts.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required.
Floating Requirements: Floating to other units within the OSU organization may be required based on need.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
