Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.
Required Skills/Experience:
2 years PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience.
Medical/Surgical or Step Down RNs are accepted; both follow the same credentialing.
Required Credentials:
Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, with only two attempts permitted, and must be updated every 3 years.
Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization; only 2 attempts allowed, and must be updated every 3 years thereafter in the specialty.
Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; covers HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, and OSHA topics; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score; only 2 attempts allowed, and must be updated every 3 years.
Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Special Requests:
Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.
Unit Details:
The traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest need, either a PCU or Med/Surg/Tele unit, based on the traveler's skills.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend and every other holiday.
Floating Requirements:
The traveler will need to float onsite within the skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.
