Travel Nurse (RN) - Case Management

Required Skills/Experience:

• At least three years of recent RN experience working in an RN role.
• At least two years of recent RN experience working in a specialty area.
• Must have inpatient experience.

Required Credentials:

• Clinicians must be graduates of an accredited nursing school and hold a California Registered Nurse (RN) license from the CA Board of Registered Nursing.

Special Requests:

• Clinicians who worked at Sharp for 0-6 months must wait at least 6 months before returning.
• Clinicians who worked at Sharp for 6-12 months must wait at least 12 months before returning.
• Former San Diego (including Temecula) residents must have permanent residence established outside of San Diego County (including Temecula) for a minimum of 1 year.
• Clinicians must not be working in San Diego for 1 year in order to apply as a traveler.

Unit Details:

• Collaborates with the healthcare team and follows through on identified actions and referrals to coordinate patient care.
• Participates in patient care conferences and communicates the need for them.
• Identifies patient and family educational needs and develops and implements individualized education plans, including discharge teaching.
• Serves as a patient and family advocate in care planning and decision-making.
• Collaborates or seeks additional resources as needed in the management of complex, new or unusual, and other high-risk clinical situations.
