Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Unit

Required Credentials:
Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing.
Cannot have any disciplinary action on state license.

Special Requests:
Must be able to start within 2 weeks of the expected start date.

Unit Details:
The patient population includes inmates/residents.
Nursing responsibilities include sick call with the physician, pill call and medication administration, assessment of new or ill/injured inmates/residents, emergency procedures, and referral to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facility as indicated.
Responsibilities include monitoring inpatient hospitalizations for early releases when appropriate.
The role includes inspecting the medical unit for potential contraband and securely storing or safely disposing of supplies and equipment.
The RN provides guidance, supervises and monitors nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.
Inmate/resident behavior must be observed and recorded.

Shift & Scheduling:
Primary shifts may be days or nights depending on facility needs.
Open availability is required per the CoreCivic scheduling policy.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
