Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation experience required.
Required Credentials: Area-specific competency exam required.
Unit Details: Level III trauma center. Team nursing and pod system. Social worker assigned to the department and unit educator support. Patient ratios: 4:1 Main ED and 6:1 Fast Track. Uses Zoll defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow blood warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and i-STAT POC, and ultrasound-guided IV. Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients. Common diagnoses/treatments include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
Shift & Scheduling: Minimum of two weekends per schedule. No call.
