Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2+ years in cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience.
  • General OR experience required.
  • Cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant experience required.
  • Requires 3 years overall OR experience with 2 years dedicated cardiac and vascular.

Required Credentials:

  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:

  • Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any of the James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities.

Unit Details:

  • Adult and geriatric patient population.
  • The Ross Heart Hospital focuses on patients needing heart and vascular care, surgery, and interventions.
  • Common open cases include CABG, valves, AAA, ascending and descending dissections, amputations, fistulas, first ribs, and ECMO.
  • Common endovascular cases include TVAR, EVAR, TAVR, fistulograms, angiograms, aortograms, and radiofrequency ablations.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 2x8 shifts and 2x12 shifts.
  • Shift will be anywhere from 630am to 11pm with call. Hours will be filled in wherever the need is for the schedule.
  • Must be flexible.
  • Call hours are required and distributed equitably among staff members on a 4-week basis.
  • Call hours begin at 7pm each weekday night.
  • Weekend call is required and divided into 12-hour blocks.
  • The amount of call is based on the number of staff members and can change each month.
