Travel Nurse (RN) - Wound / Ostomy Care

Special Requests:

• Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:

• Inpatient wound and ostomy care.
• Common diagnoses/types of wounds include ostomies and/or draining wounds or fistulas about 25%; pressure, vascular, arterial and diabetic ulcerations; skin conditions resulting from incontinence, surgical procedures and/or trauma; skin/tissue integrity issues; altered continence; and wound vacs.
• Manages and coordinates patient care and wound management consults and recommendations in accordance with established standards, defined timelines, and the overall plan of care; includes documentation and billing, discharge supply coordination, identification, assessment, prevention, continuing education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Phone provided for photo documentation.
• Uses Smith & Nephew wound vacs.

Shift & Scheduling:

• No weekend requirements.
• No holiday requirements.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Provides inpatient wound care coverage and may float to St. Clare, St. Elizabeth, St. Frances, St. Anthony, and St. Anne as needed; floating may sometimes be planned in advance.
