Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Required Credentials:

• You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab required for travelers working at St. Joseph main campus and/or St. Joseph Westgate campus; ED completes Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion.

Special Requests:

• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:

• Trauma and burn patients; pediatrics are transferred out.
• 30-40 psych holds.
• Uses Phillips monitors; must be able to read strips.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, at unit discretion.
• Holidays based on unit coverage.

Floating Requirements:

• Float within the ER and between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and the free-standing ERs in Litchfield Park and Glendale. Facilities are about 30 minutes apart, and floating may occur midshift. A home base facility will try to be established, but this may not be the facility the clinician is regularly at. A schedule will be made in advance so clinicians know which location to report to.
