Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in floor care therapy.
Minimum 2 years' experience with intensive care therapy.
Tracheostomy experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
NICU level 4 with L&D and PICU level 1 trauma and transplant experience would be ideal.
Required Credentials:
ACLS is required if working in the AICU; NRP is required if working in the NICU; PALS is required if working in the PICU.

Unit Details:
Basic floor care respiratory therapy includes nebulizers and MDIs, bronchial hygiene (CPT), volume expansion (PEP), and CPAP/BiPAP for all ages, from infants to geriatric patients.
NICU/PICU respiratory therapy uses Servo-i, SiPAP, and Sensormedics 3100A (HFOV) ventilators and includes blood gas analysis.
Adult ICU respiratory therapy uses Servo-i ventilators, ventilator extubation protocols, and ABGs.
Supply and medication Pyxis machines are used.
Floating Requirements:
The NICU assignment typically also includes adult floors or adult ICUs. NICU is not guaranteed every shift, and permanent staff are prioritized for NICU assignments.
