Required Skills/Experience: 2 years current NICU experience. This is a Level 1B NICU, and travelers must have Level 1B or higher NICU experience to be considered for this need. Experience with ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) babies, TTN (Transient Tachypnea) babies, blood sugar stabilization, babies needing respiratory support, and High Flow NC (Nasal Cannula) is required.
Special Requests: Ability to start ASAP. This assignment allows expedited credentialing or pending credentials so you can start in under 3 weeks. Once your initial RTO requested is accepted, no further negotiations of terms will occur before your start date. Being ready and willing to quickly be credentialed is required. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload. No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after upload, interview, or offer will not be approved and may lead to a rescinded offer. Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
Unit Details: This is a Level 1B NICU/continuing care nursery for late preterm babies (35 weeks and beyond) and newborns with health issues. Uses cardiopulmonary monitors, LED phototherapy lights, radiant warming units, resuscitation and stabilization care centers, IV infusion pumps, isolettes, donor milk, and oxygen therapy.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays required if needed. No call. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
