Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 1 year Step Down/PCU, inpatient only.

Special Requests:

  • Blocked scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements.
  • RTO must be made up on the back end. RTO will not be approved in the first week of assignment.
  • Holiday RTO: can request only 1 per assignment.

Unit Details:

  • Cares for post-trauma patients and those with surgical interventions and medical comorbidities.
  • Patient population includes cardiac/thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory distress, and insulin drips.
  • Uses Philips monitors, chest tubes, art lines, wound vacs, pacer boxes, pacing wires, drains, EKOS, Nicom, BIPAP, and Airvo.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
  • Weekends as required by facility.
  • No call.
  • Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week.

Floating Requirements:

  • Will float on a rotational basis to critical care cluster or med/surg.

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
