Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Special Requests: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Block scheduling is generally not available.
Unit Details: No triage for agency RNs. Behavioral health nurses manage mental health patients. Charge nurse generally does not take patients but does provide break relief. Nurse aides are available as census and staffing dictates. Vents are not common. Hospitalist or intensivist in house. No IV team. RT and pharmacy are available 24/7. Report is at the bedside. Common diagnoses include chest pain rule-out MI, exacerbation of chronic diseases, and psych holds. All major cases are transported to San Juan or Mercy General. General community hospital ER patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays rotate with core staff. Self-scheduling is used and finalized by the manager; schedules are released 4 weeks out. Travelers can access schedules from home, make themselves available for extra shifts, and trade with staff. Extra shifts are available.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Float to all other Sacramento facilities; mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
