Travel Allied (Mammographer) - Mammography

Unit Details: Placement will be at a regional clinic. Performs imaging examinations on patients from newborn through geriatric. Corroborates clinical history and appropriate follow-up for mammography, lung cancer screening, bone density, and some sonography exams. Performs receptionist/clerk and other department duties as needed. Transfers imaging to PACS and other workstations as needed.

Required Skills/Experience: Initial training in digital mammography and tomosynthesis required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Two years post-graduation experience preferred. Ability to perform mammography studies including routine screening and specialized diagnostic views preferred. Recent x-ray experience preferred. Fuji experience preferred.

Required Credentials: Clinicians who have completed Alaska's License by Endorsement process and obtained a temporary permit may be submitted. Current registration with ARRT (R)(M) or equivalent required.

Preferred Credentials: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program with dedicated mammography training preferred. Current registration with ARRT may be accepted in lieu of accredited graduation. Meets current MQSA requirements including 15 breast CEU within 36 months and 200 mammography exams in 24 months preferred.
