Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years of high acuity PCU level or higher required. Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials:

• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.

Special Requests:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
• Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekends variable based on unit needs.
• Self-schedule requests: you will enter your schedule requests so your preferred schedule can be reviewed before balancing and posting the final schedule.
• First week of orientation is Monday-Friday, dayshift. Five shifts of bedside orientation between weeks 2 and 3, then independent. -If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirements:

• Floating to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare.
