Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
1 year Stepdown experience, inpatient only.
Trach/vent experience required.

Special Requests:
Block scheduling with no specific days may be approved based on facility requirements.
RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end.
Holiday RTO: only 1 request per assignment.

Unit Details:
This is a very respiratory-heavy floor.
Patient population includes respiratory failure, ETOH, overdose, GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, COPD, and cancer.
Equipment includes trach, vent, VAPO, and BiPAP.
Patient population includes all age groups.
Patient care includes patients after trauma and surgical interventions, as well as patients with medical comorbidities.

Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
Weekend coverage is as required by the facility, including every other weekend.
No call.
Night shift orients on day shift, and the traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.

Floating Requirements:
Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
