Required Skills/Experience:
Proficiency working within the OR is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Good pediatric experience is preferred.
Level II trauma experience is preferred.
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
High-acuity operating room.
Neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population.
Shift & Scheduling:
Call required: short call after shift, occasional.
Short call up to 3 times every six weeks (1715-1915).
Up to 4 off shifts every six weeks.
Up to 1 weekend shift and 1 weekend call every six weeks.
Holiday shifts and call coverage are scheduled as needed by the unit.
Short-call coverage is based on department volume, and the charge nurse typically provides notice before the end of the shift.
