Travel Nurse (RN) - Surgical Intensive Care Unit

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Acute care experience must be current/today, working consistently in the last 12 months, and in the specialty with which they are applying.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Oncology experience preferred, but not required.

Required Credentials:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:

• Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facility if you have an active application to any Ohio State University facility.

Unit Details:

• Adult patient population.
• Cares for patients with hemorrhagic shock, hypovolemic shock, sepsis, septic shock, pneumonia, ARDS, craniotomy, ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, intracranial hypertension, and delirium.
• External ventricular drain management, ICP monitoring, massive transfusion protocol, mechanical ventilation, heated high flow, BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy management, CRRT, and vasopressor titration.

Shift & Scheduling:

• If you accept a 12 D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department's needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirements:

• Travelers may float to James MICU or UH MICU/SICU. May also float to M/S or PCU units.
