Unit Details: Inpatient acute care and rehab setting. Average caseload is 4-5 patients per day, depending on volume. General duties include evaluations, treatment interventions, team conferences, modalities if able to perform, documentation, and FIMs. Treats patients of all ages with orthopedic, neurological, and general medical diagnoses. Evaluates and treats medically complex and often medically unstable patients. Responsible for recommending appropriate discharge destinations. High-volume, dynamic caseload across multiple hospital areas with frequent reprioritization and rescheduling due to new orders, patient pain, procedures, nursing cares, and patient rest time. Uses UE Bioness and Dynavision. May supervise certified occupational therapist assistants, aides, and students.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri schedule. No call required. Weekends required: 1 weekend/month.
