Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Unit Details:
Common diagnoses/types of patients: CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI.
One charge RN is on the floor with a patient assignment.
PCTs are on the unit.
RNs titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results.
No vents; intermittent BiPAP.
Telemetry is monitored remotely by monitor techs.
Shift & Scheduling:
Day/night rotate.
Weekends and holidays scheduled as needed, usually 1/2 the total weekends.
No call.
Floating Requirements:
Floating is as needed based on census; external travelers float first.
