Travel Nurse (RN) - Dialysis Unit

Additional Details:

Required Skills / Experience: Experience with hemodialysis

Preferred Skills / Experience: Prior inpatient dialysis RN experience

Experience using Fresenius machines

Special Requests:

• Previous travelers that have worked at Bassett for 1 year must take a 9 month break before returning as a traveler.

Unit Details:

• Inpatient adult hemodialysis unit; no pediatric patients and no CRRT performed onsite.
• Role is strictly focused on hemodialysis treatments, including initiating, monitoring, and terminating treatments; administering medications; managing vascular accesses; troubleshooting dialysis machines; and communicating with providers throughout treatment.
• Uses Fresenius dialysis machines.
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio on the dialysis unit; 1:1 for patients located in the Emergency Department or ICU.
• Hospital-based inpatient setting caring for higher acuity patients; must be comfortable working independently.
• Proof of Identification: Driver's License/State ID

Shift & Scheduling:

• On call: Early call 12a-6:30a, late call 7p-12a; rotate Sunday 24 hour call.
