Unit Details: Fast-paced, high-intensity emergency department caring for patients across the lifespan, from non-urgent to life-threatening presentations that are undiagnosed or require further interventions; care includes medical illness, trauma care, pediatric care, gerontologic care, injury prevention, women's health, mental health issues, and life and limb saving measures. Usually sees 70-80 patients per day. Lifesaving equipment includes hypothermia devices, hands-free CPR, rapid infusers, and invasive monitoring.
Shift & Scheduling: Afternoons/nights with flex start times of 11a or 1p. Every other weekend and every other holiday. Two days of call per 13-week contract.
