Required Credentials
Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80% with only 2 attempts permitted.
Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score; only 2 attempts allowed.
Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score; only 2 attempts allowed.
Special Requests
Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver's license.
Unit Details
Nurse-to-patient ratios by shift: 1:1, 1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients in the overflow unit.
Cares for congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD patients.
Patient population ranges from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients.
Shift & Scheduling
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
