Required Skills/Experience: IV starts, telemetry, NG tube, and Foley insertion experience required.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO must be submitted upfront; 7 or fewer days per 13 week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission. Block scheduling may be possible.
Unit Details: Cares for acute, observation, and swingbed patients; common diagnoses include pneumonia, rehab, COPD, CHF, pancreatitis, and GI bleed. Uses vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula; RNs are expected to set up and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and be competent with BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC. No monitor techs on unit; RNs read their own telemetry strips. Uses Mindray telemetry monitors. RNs may be part of the code team.
Shift & Scheduling: Team scheduling. Every other weekend. Every other holiday. No call.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Floating may include Med/Tele Acute/Obs/Swingbed.
