If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from the perm facility.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience:
Charge experience is requested so the clinician can work charge.

Special Requests:
Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but every effort will be made to accommodate requests.

Unit Details:
This is a flex unit serving both floor and step-down patients based on patient and hospital needs.
Patient ratios are 3:1 for step-down patients and 6:1 for floor/med-surg patients.
The patient population is diverse and primarily includes medical diagnoses.
RNs will have written orders to titrate drips.
Common titratable or set-rate drips include heparin, insulin, antihypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbital, ketamine, morphine/dilaudid/fentanyl PCAs, and TPN.
CPAP and BiPAP are used on the floor and step-down units; high-flow oxygen and ventilators are used in step-down, and ventilator setting adjustments are handled in the ICU.
A remote telemetry surveillance center and central monitoring are available; RNs are not expected to read their own strips. Phillips telemetry monitoring equipment is used.

Shift & Scheduling:
This agency RN position is posted as a weekend position.
Expect to work about half of all WVUH-recognized holidays.
No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements:
The clinician will be first to float or be pulled to other floor/step-down units.
