Travel Nurse (RN) - Oncology Clinic

Required Skills/Experience:

• At least 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience, not Oncology RN Experience.

Unit Details:

• Provides continuity and quality patient care, including assessment and appropriate nursing interventions for actual or potential problems related to the disease process, treatment course, and follow-up period.
• Emphasizes teaching, counseling, and supportive functions to assist the patient and/or family in coping with and adjusting to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
• Assists in the evaluation and examination of patients with the Radiation Oncologist.
• Acts as liaison between Radiation Oncology and other hospitals and/or departments, physician groups/offices, and counseling/support groups.
• Provides referrals for recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekdays.
• Contract-hour guarantee does not apply on holidays for clinic workers.
