Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.

Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (See JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. For MD locations – You must have compact license or MD license.

Unit Details: Most surgical cases are placed on this unit, including total joint orthopedics, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery. Patient population includes diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, kidney stones, appendectomy, minor amputations, sickle cell crisis, GI bleed, diverticulitis, general surgery, general medicine, and observation patients. Patient population spans infants, pediatrics/adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; however, adult MS/tele only, and travelers are not expected to care for pediatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends required - 6 shifts in 6 weeks. Every other weekend.
