Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 18 months of Palliative Care Unit experience within the past 3 years.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Flu vaccination required. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Upon accepting an offer, you will be assigned Relias exams that must be taken immediately (within 48hrs). If you fail the exam twice, this may result in an immediate cancellation by the facility.

Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Required Skills/Experience: Traveler must be able to read strips. Commonly utilized skills include: PCAs Central Line Management Tracheotomy patients Ostomy management Wound Vac care Foleys IV start skills Peripheral lab draws Arterial blood draws Dubhoff/NGT placement and management Various intravenous drips (e.g. cardiac, insulin, heparin, and cardiac monitoring).

Required Credentials: Relias exams required to pass upon booking- 2 attempts. If the second attempt is failed, this will result in a pre-start cancellation.
