Travel Nurse (RN) - Step Down Unit

Required Skills/Experience: Will accept a Med Surg RN; same credentialing for both skills.

Required Credentials: Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position. In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match the address on the driver's license.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: Traveler will be placed on the unit with the greatest need, whether PCU or Med/Surg/Tele, based on the traveler's skills. Will need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites if needed.
