Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience at facilities with >3000 births per year is preferred.
Required Credentials:
Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring must be current (within the previous 2 years).
NRP and BLS must be current.
Unit Details:
AWHONN ratios are the goal; patient ratios may be 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 for low-acuity patients.
Equipment includes Novii monitors, iMobile, headsets, a pass-through skin-to-skin C-section drape, deep soaker tubs, light therapy, and aroma therapy.
Uses CPN.
Typical procedures include labor, delivery, recovery, triage, antepartum care, and circulating for C-section.
First-hour baby care excludes admission assessment, eyes and thighs.
Breastfeeding assistance is provided.
In-house 24-7 hospitalist and midwife coverage, anesthesia coverage, and neonatologist coverage are available.
