References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Open heart, CABG, and valve experience required. Must be able to first scrub.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.

Unit Details: Thoracic and vascular cases, including open hearts (CABG, valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, convergent, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, and Impella 5.5; uses Stryker towers.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. Start at 6:00 AM for open heart case prep when notified the day before. 3-4 weeknight call shifts per week, 1515-0645. Every other to every third weekend call from Friday at 1515 to Monday at 0645. Rotating holidays; must be willing to work holidays. 15-minute call response time. 8-hour reprieve shifts post-call. Sleep room available. Overtime opportunities available.

Floating Requirements: Must be willing to cross-train to general and other OR specialties, including ortho, if CV volumes are low; will cross-train to second scrub for ortho or general cases. Must be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours if case volume is low. If refused, it is considered supplemental time off/unpaid RDO. May also pick up extra 1:1 sitter shifts to supplement hours when case volume is low.
