Required Skills/Experience:
General and laparoscopic surgical experience are required.
Singular scrub experience for cardiothoracic cases is required.
Experience with ascending aortic aneurysm cases is required.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in the specialty within the past 3 years.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with OB/GYN, Plastic, ENT, Urology, Robotic, Ortho, Ortho/Totals, Neuro/Crani, and Transplant is preferred.
Experience with bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS is preferred.
Required Credentials:
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Special Requests:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population.
The unit's preferred patient population includes adolescents.
Daily average surgical case volume: 55.
Cardiothoracic surgical cases include CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS, mediastinoscopy, RATS, CVL support with carotid cutdowns, and laser lead standby.
Flexible endoscope reprocessing is performed; equipment includes bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS.
Shift & Scheduling:
At least 10 call shifts per month are required; call can be anytime from 17:00-06:30.
1-2 weekends per month are required.
Floating Requirements:
Expected to float to the general OR; floating between like units is not required.
